Steps
- Open Threads.
- Tap the notice.
- Appeal once.
Official route
Reference notes for this notice follow.
- Check whether the action is on Threads only or on your Instagram account as well.
- If Instagram works and only Threads shows a notice, open the Threads app, tap the notice and use its appeal option.
- If Instagram is disabled or hacked, recover Instagram first; Threads follows it.
- For posting limits, check the notice for an end date and wait it out rather than posting the same content again.
- A Threads profile you deactivated comes back when you log in again through Instagram.
- Check Account Status in Instagram too, since some Threads actions are listed there.
- Update the Threads and Instagram apps; old versions sometimes hide the appeal option.
Evidence to collect
- Any emails from Instagram about changes to the account.
- Links to the Threads posts involved.
- Screenshots of the Threads notice.
- Your Instagram username, since Threads uses the same login.
- A note of when the problem started and anything you posted just before.
Wording that works
- If the account was used by someone else, say so.
- Say which post was affected and why you think it was misread, briefly.
- Mention that Instagram is unaffected, if that is true, so it is clear only Threads is in question.
Avoid these
- Reposting removed content.
- Mass following or replying with the same text, which can trigger limits.
- Making another Instagram account just to reopen Threads.
- Using automation tools that post for you.
What happens next
- Look for the result in the Threads app and in your email.
- Check your Instagram email for any messages that cover both apps.
- If a limit ends, post normally for a while before posting anything similar to what was flagged.
- If Instagram had to be recovered, check Threads settings and recent posts once you are back.
If the route is closed
- Threads and Instagram show different decisions and you are not sure which to appeal.
- The Threads appeal was refused and Instagram is fine.
- Both Threads and Instagram are gone.
What to send
- Your username or profile link.
- A screenshot of the notice or error, with the date visible.
- Which email or phone is on the account (just which one, never a code).
- What happened before it started, in a few lines.
Please do not send passwords, login codes, card numbers or access tokens.
How it works with Bansfix
- Message us on WhatsApp or email with the username and a screenshot of the notice.
- We tell you honestly whether this is something we can help with. Terms are agreed with you before any work starts.
- We prepare the appeal and the supporting details, to go through the platform’s own channels.
- We stay in touch while you wait. The platform makes the final decision, and nobody can promise the outcome.
